We are offering 6 month Internships across the following Practice Groups :

  • Corporate
  • Finance, Projects & Restructuring (Finance / Banking / Regulatory)
  • Investment Funds
  • Intellectual Property & Technology
  • Litigation & Regulatory
  • You will have the opportunity to interact with other DLA Piper offices and experience our "One Team, No Borders" way of working, to improve and test your technical legal skills internationally.

    This internship role is for a fixed term. It is not a Bar traineeship role.

    Interns at DLA Piper are fully involved in all the teams activities including pro bono and knowledge.

    We are keen to hear from Interns with the following experience :

  • A strong academic record;
  • Fluency in both English and French
  • A good command of German or any other language would be advantageous;
  • Stays current on key legal and business developments;
  • Commercially astute and stay current on key legal and business news.

  • We are looking for someone who has;
  • Minimum of 3 years in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • A professional and flexible attitude with a practical approach to problem solving
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Strong knowledge with ITIL 4 Framework Incident, Change and Problem Management
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • The Departments / Practice Groups

    Our Interns have the opportunity to support on a variety of tasks within their chosen Practice Group, including :

    Our tax team advises a wide variety of clients (asset managers, financial institutions, corporations, high net worth individuals) on a full range of tax matters, including corporation taxes, international tax, VAT, tax compliance, tax litigation, and mutual agreement procedures.

    The team is particularly known for its expertise in the alternative asset management industry (private equity, real estate and fund formation) and for its advice on complex cross-border restructurings and reorganisations of multinational groups.

    Duties include :

  • Supporting our team members on international tax questions, corporate reorganisations or investment funds structuring issues;
  • Drafting tax analysis or memoranda and reviewing corporate and finance documentation from a tax perspective Researching and advising on taxation issues;
  • Liaising with clients and assisting to conference calls;
  • Generally supporting our team members in the management of their files.
