There is an open position in the Business Development Department for people who would like to work with an energetic and prosperous team aiming at expanding the bank’s presence in the European market.
Acting as the first point of contact of the bank’s prospects and clients, the director of business development will develop and manage a corporate portfolio in accordance with the bank business strategy and objectives.
The reporting line will be towards the head of Business Development Department.Main Duties and Responsibilities :
Develop and update abusiness plan in the scope of five years in communication with stakeholders and head of business development department;
Search for new customers to ensure a robust pipeline of deals, represents the Bank at conferences and builds relationships with the decision makers within partner banks (especially major European and American banks with loan syndication desks).
Act as a key contact for large customer accounts;
Acquire high quality syndication or bilateral loan customers through various marketing channels;
Provide market feedback to the department head regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs and generates product development ideas;
Participate in the negotiation of terms and legal documentations;
Develop the procedures and workflows to enable the effective execution of new business;
Monitor and communicate on current market trends, new regulations affectingbusiness and initiates necessary changes;
Organise training for new employees;
Communicate and cooperate with other departments.Qualifications and experience :
Bachelor’s degree or above in accounting, economics, finance, law, mathematics, engineering, science majors or related business discipline;
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in front desk of commercial banking or financial sector, preferred to have experience in corporate and institutional banking, infrastructure and project finance, PPPs, government privatisation, M&A, etc;
Good knowledge of financial analysis as well as proven experience in credit risk assessment and financial modelling;
Good knowledge of processes and procedures related to the administration, control and monitoring of lending operations;
Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and French, any other language specific to the covered market would be a valuable asset;
Good knowledge of standard computer tools, specialty in excel would be an asset;
Excellent communication and listening skills, ability to explain complex information clearly and simply, good sales and negotiation skills, takes initiatives, high motivation, honest, trustworthy;
Be able to work under pressure, finalise a detailed credit paper independently within 3-4 days after receiving the materials;
