Engineer, Spacecraft Subsystem (Telecommunication Payload)Luxembourg - Betzdorf Your Job The Engineer, SpacecraftSubsystem (Telecommunication Payload) ensures six sigma satellitepayload availability by providing specialized engineering expertisein telecommunication payload in all phases of a satellite lifecycle from satellite specification to build phase and operations.
You are responsible to ensure that satellite health and safety ismaintained all along it’s life cycle. You plan, coordinate andperform required RF transponder testing and preparing and executingthe required procedures for nominal operation and payload recoveryin case of anomalies.
Your Responsibilities Provide primarysupport for in-orbit fleet telecommunication payload operationsSupport satellite operations activity through payload proceduredevelopment, training, limits / alerts review and data trendingReview and maintain satellite operational documentation forcommunication subsystem for in-orbit fleet Support the anomalymanagement process through anomaly reviews, corrective actiondevelopment and payload performance analysis for the in-orbit fleetProvide 24 / 7on call support during payload system testing andduring spacecraft operating life for anomaly resolution Maintaintechnical interface with Satellite Manufacturer and SpacecraftOperations to ensure proper communications of requirements,performance and anomaly resolution for payload subsystemParticipate in design reviews, satellite test activities and reviewof payload technical documentation in preparation for start ofservice for new satellites Travel as required Your ProfileMaster’s Degree or equivalent, with a specialization which includestelecommunication or Satellite Communications Systems Understandingof payload architecture, design and manufacturing : RF equipment,repeater and antenna subsystem Link budget Repeater RF performancemeasurement Integration and testing Quality control essentials SomeHigh Throughput Satellite Engineering knowledge will be an assetAbility to work day to day in-orbit fleet issues and operationswith other members of space operations and space engineering teamsExcellent communications skills both written and oral Strongcomputer software skills required What’s in it for you?
