Industrial IT / Automation Specialist for Industry 4.0 (m / f) Your Profile Implementation and configuration of Industry 4.
0 solutions in the plant following I4.0 design principles : - Interoperability : ability of machines, devices, sensors, and people to connect and communicate with each other via the Internet of Things (IoT);
Information transparency : ability of information systems to create a virtual copy of the physical world by enriching digital plant models with sensor data.
This requires the aggregation of raw sensor data to higher-value context information (semantic); - Technical assistance : ability of assistance systems to support humans by aggregating and visualizing information comprehensibly for making informed decisions and solving urgent problems on short notice;
Decentralized decisions : ability of cyber physical systems to make decisions on their own to perform their tasks as autonomously as possible.
Daily contact and work with cross functional team such as Manufacturing / Quality / Production & IT at all levels, including the gathering of requirements in order to provide solutions targeted at improving quality and cost performance;
Collaborate closely with researcher from the University of Luxembourg and tech-startups; Define and manage industrial IT Architecture for the production lines;
Research and implement new products and technologies to the manufacturing environment to improve manufacturing methods and processes;
Program and configure PLCs, HMI, IoT systems (sensors, gateway, connected devices), configure, install and commission new / retrofitted platforms;
Develop and program chosen IoT applications and networks; Train and educate the user community to adopt and utilize the new solutions, software, processes etc.
Create and maintain project documentation, manage BOMs and order electronic components.
Your Profile A recognized University Degree, preferred in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar field;
1-2 years' experience with automation / industrial IT / Industry 4.0 / IT / digitalization solutions; Excellent understanding of manufacturing principles, CNC Machine function, PLC, and robotics;
Related experience within automation platforms (Siemens, Omron, Schneider, Wago or other); Some experience in programming embedded processors like Arduino, Raspberry pi or others;
Basic knowledge in industrial networks and protocols (OPC-UA, MQTT); Hands-on approach and problem solving driven; Able to understand production processes data;
Demonstrate autonomy, adaptability and flexibility; Team player with good communication skills in English (spoken and written), any other language is an asset.
