The Investment Restrictions Analyst’s core mission is to monitor compliance of UCITS and AIF with the applicable investment restrictions.

This role consists in establishing strong working relationships with clients and maintaining Banque Degroof Petercam Luxembourg S.

A. reputation for delivering high quality client service.

This function reports to the Head of Investment Restrictions.

Missions and responsibilities

  • Perform regular monitoring with the investment policies and the investment restrictions;
  • Report detected breaches to investment managers / management companies / AIFM and ensure that corrective action is taken;
  • Analyze breaches and process 2002 / 77 notifications to the regulator for investment breaches;
  • Partner with our clients adequately and timely respond to their queries;
  • Take proactive steps to communicate any compliance issues to the Head of Investment Restrictions, propose resolution for such issues;
  • Assist the Head of Investment Restrictions in the preparation of periodical reports for clients and management;
  • Participate and / or lead ad-hoc projects dealing with Investment Restrictions and / or Depositary’s responsibilities;
  • Develop and maintain a working familiarity with applicable laws, regulations and interpret governing Luxembourg funds, on main regulatory developments and as the case may be, analyze those developments and write-up recommendations for implementation to management;
  • Assist the Head of Investment Restrictions in the definition of the investment objectives and policies sections in funds’ prospectus;
  • Act as a key contact for internal / external auditors, write-up management replies and follow-up on audit recommendations;
  • Develop and share ideas to improve processes.
  • Profile

  • Master’s degree (law, finance or accounting related field is preferred);
  • Minimum 3-4 years past experience in the fund industry, ideally in a similar position (compliance, risk management and / or audit);
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Knowledge of Linedata Compliance software;
  • Fluency in French and English (both written and spoken), any other European language would be considered as an advantage;
  • Excellent analytical, editorial and communication skills;
  • Organized, detail oriented, ability to take initiatives;
  • Ability to work and multitask whilst under pressure.
