Your Role

The Administrative Assistant will support the professors and team members of the Department of Engineering.

  • Liaise with the University administration
  • Administration of business trips, acquisition orders, invoices
  • Support budget management
  • Welcome visitors, sort out mails, handle phone calls
  • Support the production of yearly reports, evaluation documents
  • Help with the organization of conferences, exhibits
  • Your Profile

    The successful candidate should demonstrate a proactive and rigorous attitude; have good communication skills and the ability to plan and work on simultaneous tasks with a sense of priority.

  • Professional training and / or education in office management or studies in business administration, or related fields
  • Several years of experience in administrative work, preferably in a research or academic environment
  • Team player, diplomatic and able to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment
  • Good sense of prioritising tasks and good self-management skills
  • Open-minded, proactive, able to multi-task and able to work autonomously
  • Fluency in English and French are required, knowledge of German and / or Luxembourgish would be an advantage
  • Proficiency with modern office software, spreadsheets and content management systems; experience with SAP would be an advantage
  • Aptitude in dealing with numbers and following up on budgets
  • Welcoming and service oriented attitude
