We are seeking an experienced manager with an in depth understanding of Middle and Last Mile logistics to lead the EU AMZL strategic network design process, improving network connectivity and performance across AMZL, ATS and Fulfilment operations The successful candidate will be part of the team responsible for delivering network design alignment and improving AMZL DEA, network speed and cost performance through a program of new projects and network initiatives, and will form a business partnership with first and middle mile stakeholders and operational AMZL Teams.

You will play a key role in developing and deploying network initiatives as part of the strategic TSSOP planning process which covers the breadth of Amazon EU supply chain operations, delivering our vision to improve customer order cut offs and driving great customer experience A significant proportion of role will be identifying and implementing design and modelling solutions that increase the reliability and consistent delivery of end to end performance, removing defects from the pipeline and deliver a corresponding improvement in DEA, ATS cost and network on time performance.

In addition the work of the role will include reviewing future plans for operational feasibility and alignment on core tenets for AMZ business units as well as providing programme management oversight for the TSSOP process streams.

The role will work to facilitate approval from senior functional leaders to enable strategies to improve performance and schedule cross-functional resource allocation efficiently and effectively.

You will work closely with FC, ATS and Transportation functions and will be a natural self-starter who is comfortable supporting complex cross functional projects and action plans.

You will have a true hands-on approach, the ability to generate solutions, strong process management skills, and be an effective communicator.

This position involves regular communication with senior management on network performance, risks and time critical mitigation activities.

Key Job Responsibilities :

  • Owning strategic alignment, design and modelling principles for Network connectivity across AMZL EU, driving current speed and DEA performance from good to great and delivering new operational models to enhance customer experience.
  • Ensuring all key planning milestones in the TSSOP strategic and tactical process are met, including OP1 and OP2 planning cycles, Peak and Prime modelling and sign off and OP2 programmes in development.
  • Owning EU AMZL programme management processes for TSSOP activities.
  • Manage several competing priorities ensuring critical activities remain visible to all stakeholders whilst maintaining a plan for less urgent matters
  • Dive deep into various operational process streams and not be afraid to learn about each stakeholder’s contribution and challenges
  • Facilitate improvements in working relationships and reduce friction between AMZL leadership and key first and middle mile teams, to enhance the understanding and delivery of the end to end’ customer journey.
  • Develop and introduce processes that ultimately enhance customer experience through improved network defect performance
  • Write and review business cases using information acquired from various stakeholders
  • Prioritize improvements with biggest impact on our business, propose and obtain approval from relevant functional leaders, and schedule resources
  • Be comfortable in different roles, sometimes supporting, sometimes leading
  • Take accountability while providing status, ask for help, and immediately escalate issues and problems as necessary
  • Interface with all necessary functions within the company, including senior stakeholders
  • SQL or similar programming experience would be beneficial.
  • Expert level skill proficiency for Microsoft Excel
  • Experience manipulating databases and use of analytics tools
