The Research Group for Computational Interaction COIN (led by Prof. Dr. Luis Leiva), part of the Interdisciplinary Lab for Intelligent and Adaptive Systems (ILIAS), embedded in the Department of Computer Science (DCS) of the Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM), is looking for a Doctoral researcher (PhD candidate) in Computer Science.

Your

The successful applicant will be integrated in the research group COIN, a recently established research group in the University of Luxembourg.

The doctoral student will be a member of the Doctoral School for Science and Engineering (DSSE) offering a Doctoral Program in Computer Science, aiming to provide interdisciplinary and internationally competitive research training.

Your Mission

  • Advance research progress on computational interaction
  • Disseminate results through scientific publications in journals and conferences
  • Limited teaching activity of 2h per week
  • What we expect from you

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related disciplines
  • Proven experience () in Machine Learning and / or Human-Computer Interaction
  • Familiarity with Reinforcement Learning and Adaptive User Interfaces will be appreciated
  • Language : Good commandment of English is a must
  • Contract Type : Fixed Term Contract 36 Month (extendable up to 48 months if required)
  • Starting date : As soon as possible
  • Work Hours : Full Time 40.0 Hours per Week
