Context

The Etex Purchasing 3 years Roadmap defines the ambitions for 2018-2020 and details the initiatives and projects to be undertaken in order to achieve these goals.

As part of it, the organisation structure of the Purchasing team will be aligned to these targets.

  • Several Purchasing Category Managers positions will be created
  • The existing roles of Head of Purchasing at Divisional level will be replaced by Head of Purchasing - Direct and Head of Purchasing Indirect.
  • All local Purchasing Teams will be bundled in Country or Cluster structures
  • The roles of Head of Purchasing - Europe / Asia / Africa and Head of Purchasing - Latam will be established to lead Country based Purchasing Team
  • Mission

    Responsible for sourcing, negotiation, and contracting activities for key Industrial Goods and Consumables (Felts, Sieves, Knifes, Suction Boxes, Floculants, Anti-

    foam, Templates, Spacers, etc.)

    Defines the Category Management Strategy together with the Lead Specifiers.

    Reduces Total Cost of Ownership for Etex whilst ensuring continuity of supply.

    Roles and Responsibilities

  • Define and Implement the Industrial Goods Category Management Strategy in cooperation with the Lead Specifiers, following Etex 8 steps Category Management Framework (Spend Analysis, Cost driver analysis, Needs definition, Market review, Sourcing Strategy definition, Supplier Panel definition, Savings & KPI definition, Implementation Plan)
  • Directly leads the sourcing, negotiations and contracting for all Industrial Goods in scope with the objective to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership for Etex (through Cost saving, Cost avoidance and Working Capital and Tax Optimization).
  • Develops an in-depth knowledge of these markets and their evolution.

  • Drives the Purchasing Risk Mapping and Mitigation initiative for these products in close cooperation with the Lead Specifiers, CCFC, the Plant Managers and the Local Purchasing Managers.
  • Defines central safety stock levels (with support from the Central Planners) and coordinates with local Plant and Purchasing Managers the local stocks.

    Leads Crisis & Allocation working groups when needed.

  • Support the Head of Purchasing to further develop Etex Category Management Framework
  • Define annual budget assumptions and (re)forecast by product and country, based on market study and action plans
  • Required Experience

    10 years experience in purchasing ideally in the construction or building material sector

    Language Skills

    English. Knowledge of any other language is appreciated
