The Department of Law of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance of the University of Luxembourg is looking for a Project Officer to support the Horizon 2020 project Working, Yet Poor (WorkYP).

The Project Officer will be working under the supervision of Professor Luca RATTI. The Project Officer shall guarantee efficient project governance to execute the project.

He / she will define and execute the roadmap to deliver and monitor project objectives.

In particular, the Project Officer will assist by :

  • Follow up on the project plan that includes resourcing, planning, risk mitigation, quality control and organisational requirements
  • Keep overview of all ongoing activities in coordination with the project’s coordinator and members
  • Follow-op on project deliverables and progress on milestones
  • Adjust project planning in cooperation with project coordinator
  • Ensure proper communication before, during and after project execution
  • Provide transparency on project progress
  • Act as interface in all internal and external stakeholder’s relationship management activities by contributing to the development and maintenance of the project network
  • Take care and follow-up on communication regarding the project and its milestones
  • Channel information throughout the consortium and improve the connection between the partners
  • Draw up periodic and ad hoc reports for decision making committee and / or funding entity
  • Contribute to improvement of templates, reports, project organisation and project management systems
  • Prepare and contribute to project closing activities such as compiling and providing reports, ensuring feedback to external and internal stakeholders
  • We are looking for a candidate with good interpersonal skills, preferably with a specialization in project management.

    In particular, the following requirements apply :

  • Bachelor or Master qualification or equivalent work experience
  • First proven work experience in project management
  • Excellent project management skills, and a proven record of successfully managing and completing all aspects of large, complex and organisational-wide projects, particularly EU funded projects, including implementation and change management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to negotiate, consult, influence and build consensus at a number of levels
  • Fluency in English and in French. Luxembourgish would be an advantage
  • Contract Type : Fixed Term Contract 12 Month
  • Work Hours : Part Time 20.0 Hours per Week
