About the Role The Depositary & Oversight team ensures that all depositary duties are performed in accordance with all laws and regulatory directives.
Our client base is active in Private Equity and Real Estate Funds, Fund of Hedge Funds and Single Manager Funds using Prime Brokers.
The Depositary Account Manager leads a small team that manages a set of depositary relationships.
The Depositary Account Manager will report to the Head of Depositary.
Principal Responsibilities Relationship owner for a group of clients Point of escalation for client issues, operational issues, and risk events.
Fund on-boarding and risk assessments Manage operational team performing cash flow monitoring, investment and borrowing restriction checks, Oversight of administration and safekeeping of other assets.
Verification of fund ownership of Other Assets - Private Equity, Real Estate, and Debt.
On-site inspections of AIFM, administrators and ongoing due diligence of sub-custodians.
Enhance depositary procedures, review programs and checklists.
Attend client service meetings / board meetings.
Assist with training, development and motivation of the team to ensure a positive working environment.
Keep up-to-date with related business, technical and regulatory developments.
Liaise with internal audit, compliance, risk and control.
About you A minimum of 6 years operational experience in the alternative funds industry.
Experience in some of the following assets classes, private equity, infrastructure, debt and real estate investment funds.
In depth knowledge of depositary duties and responsibilities.
A third level business / finance / legal qualification.
Very strong written and spoken English.
