About the Role :
For our Ferrero Headquarter in Luxembourg we are currently looking for a Data Scientist to join our Advanced Analytics pillar in our Business Intelligence & Analytics department.
Work within and become an expert user of key elements of the tech stack that BI & Analytics is currently in the process of building with emphasis on the data science platform and the visualization software PowerBI;
Leverage local data to create analytic models for local business units such as price and promo optimization, spotting and diagnosing variances in sales performance of own and competitive brands, building forecasting models, etc.;
Leverage centralized / harmonized data to spot opportunities or challenges at global level;
Automate segmentation of categories and countries;
Define cross-market and cross-customer pricing harmonization approaches as well as ad hoc analyses to inform key strategy decisions;
Management of several projects.
Who we are looking for : Profile
Master’s degree in Math, Data Science, Statistics or any other related fields;
Minimum 3-5 years experience in applied work on Advanced Analytics, Statistics or Modelling preferably at a CPG manufacturer or agency servicing such clients;
Experience in big data environment and experience in AI, Machine Learning, NLP as well as development and deployment of custom algorithms;
Experience in a multinational business environment will be an asset;
Business acumen, creativity, curiosity and ability to work independently;
Ability to speak with and translate findings to business users with little / no statistical background;
Work experience with Retail panel data (IRI / Nielsen) and other consumer data types (shopper panel, loyalty cards, Mintel, survey data, etc.
is considered an important plus.
Advanced statistical methods for marketing analytics including : elasticity modelling, demand estimation / forecasting, consumer segmentation, basket analysis, CLV, etc.;
Expert use of programming and analytical languages including : SQL, Python, R and PowerBI.
Additional knowledge of Hadoop, NoSQL, Spark will be a plus.
Statistical methods : clustering, regressions, etc.;
ML applications and algorithms, particularly in the area of data integration / harmonization, but also NLP algorithms and applications.
Fluent in English is mandatory;
Any other language is considered a plus.
