Your Responsibilities :
We seek a talented, customer-obsessed Analyst to (1) create insights from our data that will steer our biggest initiatives to success and (2) communicate these insights to ground teams & executive leadership. To achieve this, you will :
Create methods to capture, process, and organize complex data (10TB+) using SQL
Deep dive the data to uncover actionable insights for known and unknown problems using the software of your choice (PowerPivot, R, Python etc.)
Develop & test hypotheses using statistical techniques
Build root-cause bridges to attribute supply chain issues to underlying drivers
Visualize and share your insights with partner teams, showing them which actions they can take to help deliver the program vision
Automate the identification & sharing of improvement opportunities
Consolidate progress into crisp and concise data-driven status updates. You will own reporting to Amazon senior leadership (VP-level).
4+ years of quantitative and qualitative experience in Logistics / Supply Chain, Transportation, Engineering or Business
Bachelor's Degree in a highly quantitative field (Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operational Research, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.)
Experience with statistical analysis, regression modeling and forecasting, hypothesis testing, data mining, financial analysis, and root cause analysis
Experience using statistical software such as R, SAS, SPSS, Minitab
Advanced user of Excel (with PowerPivot) or Tableau, able to manipulate data, write macros and create charts and pivot tables
Proven ability to query & build data pipelines in SQL for ad-hoc analysis and ongoing reporting
Programming experience in one or more languages (eg Python, VBA, C++)
Experience processing, filtering and presenting actionable insights from huge data sets (tens of tables, each having hundreds of columns and billions of rows)
Strong written and verbal communication skills. The role requires effective communication with colleagues from economics and business backgrounds
Master's Degree in a highly quantitative field (Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operational Research, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.)
Experience working in a fast-paced, high tech environment
Experience working in or with a complex international supply chain management organization
Experience incubating and commercializing new ideas, working with product managers, research scientists and technical teams from concept generation through implementation
