Job Title : Transportation Program Manager

Amazon’s Global Transportation Services (GTS) team is looking for an enthusiastic and Customer obsessed Program Manager to help us improve our EU transportation network.

Amazon transportation network covers everything from fulfilment sites to the final mile carriers who deliver our packages to our Customers.

As part of the Transportation Network Configuration (TNC) team, you will combine business and operational process knowledge, and analytical skills to identify and drive programs within our transportation network and improve the modelling of our physical flows in our Transportation Systems.

To be successful in the role you need a passion for improvements and desire to learn and innovate in an ever evolving domain.

You are a strong communicator and can collaborate and influence effectively, and have strong attention to details. You will work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment that requires you to be comfortable in working on several projects in parallel.

The position is based in Luxembourg.

Key job responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include :

Defining TNC’s long-term plan and setting a mechanism to review and update with all involved stakeholders

Developing and deploying a mechanism to optimize TNC resources

Presenting to stakeholders on progress as well as addressing problems and solutions

Tracking and regularly reviewing progress of implemented mechanisms and evaluate success criteria

Collaborating effectively with a variety of stakeholders including subject matter experts (SMEs) and leaders across multiple disciplines / functional roles to support our organization's long-term plan

About the team

TNC’s Strategy and Program Management (SPM) team is a team of program managers who deliver scalable programs and sustainable processes to the wider TNC team through close collaboration with multiple dependent teams.

The primary role of SPM is to develop solid strategies and programs that enable TNC to optimize the transportation network through improved configuration processes while improving speed and reducing cost.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a relevant field

4+ years of experience in program or project management methodology, process improvement or strategic development delivering cross functional projects

2+ years experience using business metrics, and learning data to track, trend, and manage impact of changes

Enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Experience managing and optimizing resources

Passionate about think big opportunities and long-term planning

Solid experience owning programs’ end to end delivery, and communicating results

Ability to handle multiple priorities and work independently in an ambiguous environment

Proficiency in MS Office, Excel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

A formal qualification and / or certificate in project management and / or change management.

MBA or Master’s Degree

Previous experience in Supply Chain / Transportation / Logistics

Experience with SQL

Advanced knowledge of Excel
