Amazon is seeking a Senior Manager, Knowledge Experience and Technology for our growing Reliability and Maintenance Engineering (RME) team to play a critical role in managing Amazon's fast growth and technology innovation.

The Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering team maintains and optimizes technologies ranging from large, modern, purpose built warehouses utilizing robotics and high volume conveyance all the way through the value chain to small, high speed warehouses placed as close to our customers as possible.

Join us in the Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering team. We maintain and optimize technologies in the Global Amazon Fulfillment, Sort Center, and Delivery Network.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB :

Amazon’s RME Learning & Information Services team is quickly evolving and is looking for a skilled, driven, Knowledge Experience and Technology (KxT) leader to design, scale, and execute strategies that deliver the right information and documentation, to the right people, at the right time.

Our growing portfolio of information and knowledge includes technical, safety, and compliance driven topics / standards that keep our people safe, promotes quality, and accelerates on-the-job problem solving and performance support across the network.

The Knowledge Management Leader will provide knowledge management, change management, and communications support as a pan EU service.

Their aim is to define and execute strategies that support our goal of providing innovative, simplified and friction-free access to the right information and knowledge when and where our customers need it most.

In this role, you will work with our RME team to establish and drive our KxT strategy, build relationships, lead special projects, and raise the bar on the overall knowledge transfer experience.

You will work both independently and as an integrated member of project teams to conduct detailed knowledge / documentation sharing analysis and requirements gathering, design and build innovative KM, change, and communications solutions, while measuring the effectiveness of the associated portfolio of strategies.

Your consultative skillset allows you to partner effectively with a wide range of global senior leaders and field subject matter experts to design and develop delivery mechanisms that drive adoption of our solutions.

Your detailed planning and project management skills allow you to manage multiple priorities and pivot with agility when circumstances change or a new direction is set.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Establish and support Knowledge Experience and Technology (KxT) strategy for RME by managing a portfolio of projects that enable the delivery of the right knowledge and information, to the right people, at the right time
  • Drive optimization and utilization of our knowledge assets through appropriate feature integration, implementation and execution
  • Lead special projects and programs that enhance our ability to efficiently and effectively deliver the right knowledge / change / comms activities, to the right people, at the right time
  • Help monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the Knowledge Experience and Technology program including internal / external benchmarking and evaluation of programs / opportunities
  • Define and drive governance mechanisms to ensure innovative delivery, self-service, content quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with senior leaders and customers across the RME function to understand requirements and curate content from site-based teams across the EU
  • Ensure that newly created tools, processes, policies and procedures are correctly documented
  • Build structure and operationalize teams to deliver on cross-organizational initiatives with multiple moving parts and dependencies
  • Maintain knowledge of the trends in the realm of learning technology, science, and analytics through research, conducting experiments, and crafting / presenting whitepapers
  • BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years experience as a knowledge manager, communications specialist, change management specialist, content curator, or similar role.
  • Knowledge of multimedia design / creation best practices.
  • Experience cataloging, integrating, and managing diverse content types on multiple platforms i.e. Infor DMS and EAM, Cornerstone LMS, etc.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise integrity and sound judgment in complex and ambiguous situations.
  • Awareness of the trends and best practices in the Knowledge Management domain.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Able to prioritize in complex, fast-paced, changing work environment.
  • Program management. Build plans with clear objectives, milestones, stakeholders, and metrics.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years’ domain experience designing and executing knowledge management strategies
  • Experience leading teams
  • Experience with product management
  • Experience using quantitative and / or qualitative research methods to evaluate the effectiveness of knowledge management solutions
