The University of Luxembourg is a research-oriented University in a country that nurtures and promotes its research and innovation ecosystem, sustaining a knowledge-based economy at the heart of Europe.

10 to 15 Doctoral Positions in Interdisciplinary Science
The University of Luxembourg wishes to overcome boundaries between disciplines and sectors to address the global challenges of today.
The University considers that an increased interdisciplinarity is among the stakes of its next steps in international research and innovation development.
Based on this, the University has established in 2020 an Institute for Advanced Studies (IAS), a window open on the society, which has the mission to leverage bold and interdisciplinary research at the very forefront of science (see for more details).
In 2021, the IAS-Luxembourg provides, through its Instrument YOUNG ACADEMICS , funding opportunities to attract 10 to 15 doctoral candidates (Early Stage Researchers ESR) who wish to conduct an interdisciplinary doctoral research project at our university.
YOUNG ACADEMICS is explicitly open to all disciplines, topics and sectors within the academic competences of the UL. It targets talented doctoral candidates who can demonstrate a strong inclination to working independently and interdisciplinarily.
The call is currently open and proposals can be submitted until 30 June 2 pm (CET) . Please visit the dedicated website of the IAS under https : / / wwwen.
