Amazon seeks a Senior Finance Manager to lead the Mass Vendor Relations (MVR) business in Europe, based out of Luxembourg.

The MVR program is rapidly expanding Amazon’s vendor relationships and dramatically increasing in-stock selection. As Earth’s most customer-

centric company, Amazon aims to offer the largest possible online selection, and MVR is a business dedicated to this vision.

The MVR team is an EU-wide cross category sales team 100% dedicated to identifying and recruiting medium and small vendors in the most automated and scalable way possible.

In addition, MVR also facilitates analysis, reporting and planning of all Amazon EU Selection, working across retail teams.

The mission of the business team is to fully own the relationship with medium and small vendors across the EU by building tools and systems that help these vendors create selection faster for the retail platform and overall improving vendor experience with technology.

As a Senior Finance Manager, you will help define the business strategy for MVR in the years to come. This position is a critical partner to the business leadership team and will have responsibility for business metrics, reporting, forecasting and analysis.

You will take ownership for the P&L for this business and manage a team of employees. In addition, you will be responsible for providing financial and analytical support to various local and international senior stakeholders.

The successful candidate will need to be strategic, analytical, and have the demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Basic qualifications

  • Communication : Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Analytical mindset : Ability to derive and use fact based analysis to make decisions and have strong technical and problem solving skills
  • Experience : 9+ years of relevant experience, ideally working in a fast paced environment
  • Dealing with ambiguity : Comfort with dealing with ambiguity and working autonomously
  • Leadership skills : Prior people management experience
  • Education : Professional Finance qualification (eg ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or MBA a real advantage
  • Excel skills : Advanced excel skills
  • Experience with Data Warehouse, COGNOS, and SQL is a strong plus
  • The ability to self-motivate in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment with competing deadlines
  • A successful track record of continuously driving simplification in processes and improving tools
