The Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM) contributes multidisciplinary expertise in the fields of Mathematics , Physics , Engineering , Computer Science , Life Sciences and Medicine .

Through its dual mission of teaching and research, the FSTM seeks to generate and disseminate knowledge and train new generations of responsible citizens, in order to better understand, explain and advance society and environment we live in.

Your Role

E-learning is going to durably occupy the field of education science and become a standard for most of the teaching and study program activities.

Designing new teaching methods based on digital tools requires a strong expertise in education science and a proven knowledge of the forefront e-solutions available.

Besides the courses, the Medical Education is investing in high tech simulators that are contributing to provide the teaching staff with new electronic student assessment and monitoring means.

To face the challenges of the digital transformation of teaching for its medical education program / courses the Faculty wishes to find a highly skilled candidate for its new open position.

Mission :

Translate teaching needs and content into state-of the art online learning tools to offer a sustainable and effective learning experience to our students and other audiences.

Develop and / or revise (new) online learning tools, manage and update the faculty e-learning system. Provide expertise and advice, in cooperation with teaching staff and in line with online educational environment, in order to support / enable the Faculty in an optimal and up-to-date e-learning tools and initiatives.

Design and develop new ways of teaching with regard to existing and future e-learning tools

Advise and support the teaching staff in developing an e-learning culture and its further development

Perform needs analysis and translate need into concrete initiatives

Foster and enhance a state-of-the art pedagogical eLearning experience

Research and benchmark innovative eLearning and pedagogical approaches, methods and trends and asses them for the introduction at the University

Ensure quality management ( via e.g. evaluation process) and advice on / implement continuous improvements

Advice and train users

Your Profile

Master diploma ideally in informatics, Life science or another STEM discipline, postgraduate Research and / or teaching experience is of advantage

3 to 5 years’ experience in a research and teaching environment

Experience in eLearning tools as well as in pedagogical approaches and high technical affinity

Strong analytical skills

Team player with strong communication and relationship management skills

Good project management and organizational skills

Multilingual : Candidate must be fluent in at least 2 of the three languages of the University English, German French;

knowledge of Luxembourgish is an asset
