In the context of a strong development of its business and a migration to a new IT tool, our client, a prestigious Private Equity firm wishes to further strengthen its Luxembourg team in charge of fund administration and is currently looking for a Financial Controller (m / f) with an accounting degree and experience in the Fund industry, ideally within Private Equity sector.

This position is based in Luxembourg.The successful candidate will work closely with the rest of the accounting team and under the direct supervision of the Head of Fund Administration.

She / he will also have to interact closely with the legal team based in Luxembourg and the Investor relations team.

She / he will have excellent written and oral communication skills and enjoy working as part of a smaller team.


  • Financial Control covering fund accounting and fund administration tasks for several fund vehicles (French, UK and Luxembourg) performed by a team of 6 persons
  • Control and supervision of accounting and tax tasks for several Luxembourg SPVs and GPs, including supervision of quarterly management accounts production and regulatory and tax returns filing
  • Technical support for complex accounting matters (financial statements under various GAAP, including consolidation)
  • Key contact in the audit process for the company's entities in your scope : you will support the rest of the team in preparing year-end files and liaising with auditors (at year-end and for interim profit reviews in the year);
  • You will support the rest of the team in Producing and filing regulatory returns;
  • Liaising with outsourced tax compliance providers;

  • At least 10 years' experience within the private equity sector or the fund industry (mandatory);
  • Excellent knowledge of various accounting standards and reporting obligations in the Fund industry across several countries;
  • Familiar with working in a multi-currency and multinational environment;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills;
  • Candidate must have an excellent knowledge of the English and French language (oral and writing);
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office, particularly Excel (desirable)
  • Close involvement in the implementation of a Fund Administration Software would be a real plus;
  • Ability to build and develop relationships with internal / external stakeholders as well as previous experience working with auditors;
  • Good attention to detail and reaching high-level quality standards is your main goal (mandatory);
  • Well organized, solution driven;
  • Proactive and dynamism are a must;
  • You work with flexibility and are a strong team player.
