We are looking for a Principal Product Manager to define and drive spectacular customer experiences to solve problems big and small and develop delight in inventive ways customers never thought possible.
You will not be in it alone. We are a team of passionate Software Developers, Machine Learning experts and Data Scientists who will deliver our collective solutions using machine learning, big data, and augmented reality.
You will own one of our most inspirational emerging products and participate in developing product strategy, while delivering detailed, crisp business requirements for new customer experience, roadmaps and user stories and working right next to our engineers and business partners to deliver the experience to our customers.
To succeed, you will need to be creative, curious, comfortable working in new and ambiguous environments, passionate about customers and show a strong bias for action to deliver results.
You should have a consistent track record of developing new ideas and product concepts, shipping on time, and running both new and mature products.
You would be responsible for :
Defining strategy and vision
Defining high-quality roadmaps based on team strategy and vision
Developing a deep understanding of how customers purchase products, using user research and customer analytics
Managing prioritization and trade-offs between customer experience, business requirements, performance and operational support
Working closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, UX design, and program management to deliver products to market
Driving product launches, including working with public relations team, executives, finance, marketing, and legal stakeholders for your product
Proactively identifying and resolving issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals
Working with teams across Amazon, to understand, define and influence product roadmaps that affect the shopping experience.
Interfacing and partnering with all levels of the Amazon business leadership
Define metrics and data-driven mechanisms that allow us to objectively measure how well we are doing and use A / B testing experiments to drive improvements
BS or BA degree
10+ years of professional experience with 5+ years of software product management experience
Excellent written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical issues simply and convincingly to a wide range of audiences
Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize, and drive focus and excellence within a strong and opinionated team
Experience collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data from disparate sources in order to drive conclusions and recommendations
Have an entrepreneurial spirit and be able to work independently and effectively in a results-oriented environment
Understanding of the P&L implications of different business decisions
BS in Computer Science / Engineering / Mathematics and / or MBA
Previous experience launching customer facing UI / UX features
Previous experience working with machine learning, big data, image processing and / or Search technologies
Previous experience doing user research and deriving key insights
Experience driving a technical product and team with end to end inbound and outbound product responsibilities
