Our client is a specialist provider of risk finance, operating throughout the Europe.
It is looking for a compliance monitoring officer responsible for analysing and monitoring the identified risks within the remit of the Compliance Division.
Within this remit, the successful candidate should, in particular, conduct the post-transactional compliance risks monitoring, reporting and AML controls quality assurance.
This position begins the 16th of June 2019 and ending on December, the 15th of 2019 with the initial contract for 2 months subject to extension to cover the whole period.
The candidate is going to work in a sub-team of 2 staff members, with focus on any of the following in particular : Anti-
Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML / CFT) Monitoring and Implementation of an AML screening tool.
He has to ensure the performance of ex-post compliance monitoring controls following a risk based approach.
On a sample basis, he performs Quality Assurance checks on KYC documentation obtained and on Compliance opinions issued.
He is also responsible for monitoring of Key Risk Indicators in Compliance area via existing reports.
He contributes to MLRO reports prepared by external service providers of regulated private equity funds.
The candidate contributes to the Automatic Screening Tool (AST) implementation / finalization in quality of a reviewer and quality assurance function, supporting the other team member.
Then, he reviews the initial batch of integrity hits resulting from the launch of the AST monitoring tool.
He provides feedback to the KYC Unit team regarding AST queries.
Last but not least, he monitors the progress of resolution of the AST Alerts, according to the priorities defined.
Holder of a degree in Compliance or Audit, the candidate justified at least three (3) years professional experience in the banking / financial sector, including performance of AML / CFT / KYC monitoring controls, and / or monitoring of investment policies.
He possesses thorough knowledge of the latest EU AML Directives and the Best Market Practice related to AML controls.
He has experience in compliance integrity screening and risk scoring tools is a strong advantage.
Of course, he has a knowledge of Compliance controls environment, and a knowledge of usual office tools and systems (MS Office, Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
He is fluent in English.
Knowledge of other European Union languages would be considered an advantage.
He is able to work independently and resolve problems autonomously.
He has a very strong logical thinking and analytical skills and a strong oral / written communication and proven drafting skills.
Above all, he focuses on details with an analytical approach to research.
He can summarize and report findings to other team members.
He shows a capacity to manage complex analyzes, to provide sound advice, to understand and to anticipate key issues.
Finally, he has good interpersonal skills at all levels in a multicultural environment and for that he is a good team player.
