    We are seeking a Regional Director of Procurement, Europe , in our Operational Procurement group. This person will be responsible for business analysis, coordinating procurement execution across the European region, advancing the Market Based Management (MBM) Culture and developing the regional team to support a $3.

    0 billion Global Procurement organization.

    Key responsibilities :

  • Be recognized as a leader within Guardian though the application of MBM
  • Lead talent development to create scalability by maximizing the comparative advantage of the team members
  • Provide regional leadership of procurement activities : program launches, projects execution, spend management and scheduling
  • Apply critical economic thinking to identify gaps and opportunities across the region and sites versus business objectives and What Good Looks Like
  • Drive procurement actions to close gaps, mitigate risk and meet customer expectations for the region and sites
  • Create an environment where employee’s daily actions emphasize Safety First and adherence to Compliance and Financial Policies
  • Demonstrate the Skills and Knowledge to establish and manage timelines, project priorities, and handle multiple / concurrent projects
  • Partner with Business and Site Leadership to create superior value and meet financial expectations inclusive of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
  • Foster a collaborative environment with Strategic Sourcing and Center of Excellence teams to leverage knowledge and analytics across Guardian and Koch
  • Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of supervisory experience in any of the following areas : Procurement and / or Operations Management Financial Analysis, Consolidation and Reporting Technical experience (engineering, six-
  • sigma, program management)

  • Advanced experience with Microsoft O365 core suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneNote, Teams, etc.)
  • Preferred Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience in the areas of Contract Excellence (Legal and Commercial)
  • Float Glass and Automotive Manufacturing experience
  • Negotiation skills
  • Project management skills
  • Experience with eSourcing and ERP systems
  • International experience with multi-national business and teams
