DO Recruitment Advisors is looking for a Governance / Regulatory Compliance profile. This position is at Senior Manager level.

It's a great opportunity to work in house. Based in the Luxembourg Investment Fund Manager (IFM) and working closely with various cross functional teams (typically legal and compliance, fund administration, marketing, product development, tax services and our client group) the Fund Governance and Oversight Analyst will lead and manage the policy and regulatory efforts of company with primary focus on the funds domiciled in Luxembourg and Ireland (UCITS and AIFs).

THE ROLE : Regulation


  • Monitor and review regulatory developments (working closely with colleagues from the legal and compliance teams) and assess the impact on the fund business.
  • Oversee, lead or assist with the implementation of required changes

  • Assist with the ongoing regulatory and compliance obligations of the fund business to include responding to requests from regulators, regulatory health checks, examinations and reviews
  • Be familiar with and ensure adherence to applicable fund and governance laws, regulations and codes, working closely with governance, legal and compliance colleagues
  • Policies and Conflicts of Interest

  • Develop and maintain certain policies, procedures and best practices and manage the policy framework / process for the fund business
  • Assess and respond to requests for policy exceptions
  • Document fund company conflicts of interest and maintain related registers
  • Ensure business and fund changes are appropriately built into policy and conflict processes
  • Other

  • Lead or participate in business initiatives, projects and working groups on regulatory, governance and policy matters
  • Assist with certain reporting to committees and boards and attend their meetings as needed
  • Assist with oversight of delegated investment management and related tasks

  • 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in the investment management / funds sector
  • Solid understanding of funds, experience with UCITS and regulations is a must;
  • Strong academic credentials;
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written English communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and across functions
  • Deadline focused, organised self-starter with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects and issues
  • Ability to identify, research and resolve unfamiliar issues
  • Strong business judgement, analytical skills and attention to detail
