We Offer

In order to support its expansion, Credit Suisse Luxembourg's Credit Risk Management (CRM) department is looking for a Senior Credit Officer / Subject Matter Expert for Projects involving Credit Risk Management.

The CRM department is managing the credit risk for a fast growing loan book composed of Private Banking (Lombard and Mortgage Lending), Corporates and Financial Institutions (funds) counterparties.

The successful candidate will support Credit Risk Management team in dealing with non-standard and complex transactions such as Structured Lombard loans as well as in managing a wide area of projects covering new businesses / products, regulatory requirements and organizational, technical and quality change management as well as efficiency driven projects having a credit risk angle.

Main contributions will cover

  • Detailed transactions analysis & structuring (incl. financial analysis, financing structure, assessment of collateral, proposal of alternative solutions), credit risk input for legal documentation, approval and monitoring
  • Provide professional advice and assistance to Relationship Managers for credit related matters and products
  • Defining and detailing business requirements for CRM related projects acting as a subject matter expert
  • Liaising with head office’s Risk division IT and Risk division change management as well as overall project management
  • Coordinate with all relevant stakeholders within the book of work for projects related to CRM
  • Close collaboration with local CRM Head, local Authorized Management (CRO, CFO, COO), CRM functional management in Zurich and Risk division change management / IT
  • You Offer

  • University degree or equivalent, ideally in Economics or Finance
  • Sound understanding of financial markets and products (all asset classes incl. derivatives), credits and investment funds acquired either by hands-
  • on experience in credit department of a bank or during relevant assignments as Auditor / Consultant

  • Broad credit experience, preferably in Lombard & Fund business, Corporate would be a plus
  • Minimum relevant experience of 5 years
  • Broad knowledge of the EU regulatory framework (CRD IV, EMIR, Mortgage Credit Directive, UCITS / AIFMD, AnaCredit)
  • Proven Project Management experience and skills
  • Good MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint, experience with programming could be a plus
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, ability to summarize complex matters in concise memos and to deal with a large variety of stakeholders incl. Senior Management
  • Independent and detail oriented work style
  • Languages skills : fluent in English and French, knowledge in a third language (German / Spanish / Portuguese) would be considered a real asset
