Responsibilities As a Legal Counsel within our Litigation Department, you will be responsible for handling significant debt recovery and litigation matters, as well as managing the application of legal rules governing garnishments, summonses and bankruptcies in order to protect the bank against disputes, contestations and risk of losses.
You will report to the Head of Litigation Department. What will you do? Analyze, prepare and manage debt recovery and litigation cases within different jurisdictions.
Assess the relevant legal approach to be taken in order to successfully manage litigation cases (reimbursement programs, settlements, real estate foreclosures or forced sales, seizures & transfers on wages, guarantees, pledges, bank guarantees etc.
in collaboration with our legal or non-legal external providers (lawyers, notaries, bailiffs, recovery companies). Assist in the implementation of new regulations on national and European level.
Must Have Requirements You have : A Master’s Degree in Law Proven experience in litigation (minimum 3 years) in Luxembourg Interest in complex legal issues You are : A good communicator with strong interpersonal skills Known for hitting deadlines and are result-oriented and assertive Open to administrative tasks linked to your job Fluent in English and French Nice To Have Requirements German would be considered as a strong asset Education level : Master's Degree Work experience : 3-4 years Start contract date : 28-11-19 Contract duration : Undefined
