Getronics Luxembourg is looking System Engineer to join one of our teams working for the European institutions in Kirchberg.
Job description : For critical and complex problems, the System Engineer solves incidents in his area of expertise or related to tooling and networking.
He / she supports the resolution of complex hardware and software problems, and he provides technical expertise and training to the field engineers.
Whenever needed, he / she contacts hardware or software vendors to solve problems, or he / she escalates if no quick solution can be found.
Job Purpose To provide technical support for hardware and / or software products interfacing with various personnel in the definition and resolution of problems.
Accountabilities Produce problem reports and works with other technical support personnel to resolve complex system problems.
Demonstrate a high level of technical support knowledge of system operating systems, and / or assist in the analysis and definition of complex hardware and / or software related problems on site or via telephone .
Retain call ownership throughput problem resolution process on assigned calls.Track and document problems by status (resolved, duplicated, escalated and under) investigation utilising established problem tracking and reporting systems.
Liaise with manufacturers and / or vendors during problem resolution.Contact FSR and advise / instruct them on what actions need to be taken.
Provide technical assistance to FSR'S and develop and conduct on - the- job training and formal seminars.
