The Middle Europe (MEU : Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia and expanding) Supply Chain team works with Amazon’s Fulfillment Centers (FC), Transportation, Customer Service, Retail and Finance teams.

The team provides business expertise to exceed customer expectations while minimizing end to end supply chain costs.

This is a highly visible position that is critical to the company's operations management and forward capability.

The fast paced growth and scaling of our fulfillment network relies on on an innovation and operational excellence of this impactful leadership team.

We are looking for a Senior Manager within the European Leadership team.

The successful candidate will lead the whole MEU Supply Chain teams, for which she / he will own Supply Chain strategy and execution for Amazon.

The Supply Chain Team leads Inventory Placement, Capacity Planning, S&OP, Inbound and Outbound operations and Supply Chain Analytics and has the following responsiblities.

Exceed customer expectations on delivery estimate accuracy for hundreds of millions of units sold by performing analysis on customer facing defects, and reviewing customer promise logic to maintain a 95%+ on time delivery.

Drive down fulfillment related defects such as free replacement and return, damages, etc.

Leverage software development teams to systemically drive down fulfillment costs for a multi-billion dollar cost structure.

These initiatives may be built locally but the solutions are expected to influence international system design.

Develop a business plan for upcoming fiscal year and strategy for the group.

Define how to quantify inventory placement initiatives and manage a portfolio of savings programs.

Initiate projects and drive cross-functional teams to enhance customer experience and reduce costs.

Independently engage all levels of the organization to remove waste from operations processes including employing Lean / Six Sigma practices across the Network.

Will drive out unproductive inventory through ownership of the business processes for removals.

Reinforce the local Supply Chain function by creating a country-based leadership role for Middle Europe and by developing a Supply Chain strategy for the region .

Bring the existing organization to a new level in terms of performance and productivity for it to be a true business partner in supporting the company’s rapid expansion that is expected to continue : improving S&OP accuracy, adjusting it to respond to the introduction of new services.

Keep the Supply Chain function up to speed in line with company growth, being the contact point between the Fulfillment Centers or the Delivery Services group and the Business teams, aim at enhancing the customer’s experience and focus on reducing costs.

Lead process-improvement efforts and manage the implementation of both business processes and technical solutions.

Work across Middle Europe in a cross-functional environment.

Work with the Transportation and the Retail organizations to determine future demand for Supply Chain innovations and network design.

People management : Provide strong performance management skills by setting clear goals and objectives, and measure performance and results delivery.

Support the scalable growth of the company by developing and enabling the success of each member of the Central leadership team.

Team members should be developed for promotion across the Global Operations Network.

In the first year, the Head of Middle Europe Supply Chain will : Undertake complete review of current Inventory Placement and Supply Chain to identify improved processes and further optimization of inventory placement through software solutions that are expected to deliver millions of $ in free cash flow annually with minimal oversight.

Deliver major projects such as : Drive software systems on the design and implementation of a Hub and Spoke network.

Define algorithms to determine how to automatically balance inventory across the South Europe by getting inventory close to customers while being within the physical storage capacity limits.

Establish and own programs to be used by Fulfillment by Amazon sellers so they are able to place inventory on par with Amazon owned inventory.

Drive out inventory placement defects and break constraints impacting transportation spend.

Challenge existing constraint of only having large items in one building type and small items in another define when we should have both small and large items in one fulfillment center.

Define system solutions to be put in place to avoid unnecessary transshipment between FCs.

Deep-dive into data and processes to identify and eliminate wasteful elements.

Prepare documentation and present to the Corporate Senior Leadership team ona regular basis.

Develop business plan for upcoming fiscal year and strategy for the group.

Define how to quantify inventory placement initiatives and manage a portfolio of savings programs.

Initiate projects and drive cross-functional teams to enhance customer experience and reduce costs.

Develop and build strong team of direct and indirect reports.

EU Sales&Operations Planning and Daily Execution is a core part function of the Supply Chain success.

Growth, increasing complexity and transformation towards an EU level require a strong leader for this area.

You will be working on high level, complex operational problems to identify and implement strategic initiatives and / or drive innovation projects across our expanding European Fulfillment Network and with the WW Software Teams.

You will be given the opportunity to : Work with the regional and central European Supply Chain, Fulfillment, Transportation and WW Software Teams and to tune a multi-

billion € supply chain network Lead complex analysis; develop models and reports to drive key strategic decisions Provide deep analytics to root cause and evolve solutions to complex problems.

Retrieve and analyze data using Excel, Access, SQL, and other data management systems Move fast, innovate, and find ways to simplify and define a path forward for new game-changing ideas.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS You should have a bachelors degree in a numerate subject (engineering, physics or other hard sciences) from a reputed university 10+ years of professional experiences in Supply Chain / Transportation or related environment for an International company Familiarity with supply chain management and transportation concepts : forecasting, planning, optimization, logistics, delivery performance, carrier negotiation, inventory management, S&OP People Management and Leadership skills to lead a team of Analyst and Project Managers.

Fluency in English.

Highly analytical and quantitative skills; experience using data and metrics to test theories, confirm assumptions, and measure success Demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing priorities and projects in a fast-

paced environment with a proven track record for delivering results on large, cross functional, international milestone projects Hands-

on and ready to roll up sleeves, to dive deep into the business, in a lean organization.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences and influence others, plus ability to communicate with technical and commercial teams Results-

oriented , makes things happen, ability to move fast, innovate and simplify Experience of working in or with operations PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Master’s level degree, numerate subjects, and / or MBA from a top School Entrepreneurial mindset, with the tenacity to develop ideas independently to take ownership Strong data manipulation background and works with numbers on a daily basis and Experience with analyzing big data sets Strong leadership skills and experience managing people Proven track record of improving the end to value chain and experience designing advanced Supply Chain processes and implementing world class Supply Chain / Logistics tools Experience in direct-
