Contract Lead

Location Luxembourg, HM Anna Zagorodneva, Recruiter Pascal van Benschop (1 year asignment inititally)

As a Contract Lead you will provide excellent knowledge to plan, implement and execute roaming agreements, discount agreements and other commercial contracts between VRS and external customers, MVNOs, Vodafone Local Markets and other business partners.

You will drive the contract life cycle process from drafting, negotiating commercial and legal terms and conditions to contract signature.

Throughout the execution phase you will pro-actively monitor the contract performance and ensures all obligations of the contract are met by the contracting parties.

You will

  • Lead all contract related activities across all functional areas of VRS, deciding on priorities, resource allocation and securing approval from all relevant stakeholders before signature
  • Manage the relationship with the contracting parties including communication, contract related questions and escalations from 3rd parties via the Central Roaming Inbox team
  • Protect VRS from legal, regulatory and commercial risks by ensuring appropriate contract clauses, e.g. sanctions, anti-bribery, fraud, are included in all contracts and agreed with all contracting parties
  • Manage contract execution for all aspects of contract performance by overseeing delivery of services, revenue assurance, and SLA performance to ensure all contractual obligations are met by the contracting parties and full contract value is being realized
  • Continuously improve the VRS contract management framework, including standardisation of contract clauses, digitalization and process automation as well as development of new contract frameworks to support the diversification of VRS’ commercial portfolio
  • Propose contract standardizations for new services, e.g. VoLTE, LPWA, 5G, for industry wide adoption via relevant industry bodies, e.g. GSMA
  • Advise colleagues and guide less experienced contract managers

  • You must have

  • Legal qualification or engineering degree in telecoms
  • Robust understanding of roaming industry and technologies
  • Significant experience in commercial contract drafting and negotiations
  • Professional in Microsoft Office products
  • Fluency in English both in written as verbal #groupresourcing
  • Job Responsibility

  • Assists and advises on and provides commercial insight and planning to deliver to the short / medium / long term financial targets;
  • Ensures optimised performance against service level agreements;
  • Builds challenging but realistic forecasts that deliver on the company s plans;
  • Maintains the relationship with Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA) and Business Intelligence (BI) to ensure consistent, clear and accurate information;
  • Uses best practice knowledge to oversee both financial and non-financial numbers and KPIs in relation to full profit and Loss performance;
  • Understands the dynamics of the programme performance and articulates the impacts from business activity;
  • Understands and communicates concisely the relationship between the contractual terms and the commercial and financial solution;
  • May provide informal guidance to junior staff.
