The successful candidate will perform an oversight of the functions performed and / or delegated by the Company, jointly with the first and second Conducting Officer of SSSL, in order to ensure that these are carried out adequately and in compliance with applicable corporate policies, AML / CTF related laws and regulations and any relevant contractual arrangements of the Company with the Funds and corporate vehicles that it services.
As Conducting Officer (MLRO), you will ensure that the company adheres to its obligations under the relevant laws, regulations and codes. In principle :
identify and manage AML / CTF related regulatory risks for the existing business
ensure appropriate filing / reporting of AML / CTF related activities with the CSSF and other relevant authorities
advise the company and fund boards of any changes to applicable AML related laws, regulations, or codes.
To expand upon this in more detail, the purpose of the role is to ensure that the Company and the funds under its responsibility are adequately managed from a money laundering and terrorist financing perspective ensuring appropriate protection of existing shareholders and new business.

undertake and manage the Money Laundering Reporting Function
provide sound regulatory advice to the Senior Management team and the business on all matters relating to Financial Crime Prevention, including but not limited to, anti-
money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, high risk customers, bribery and corruption, sanctions / embargoes
assess the impact of changing legislation and advise on the implementation of revised procedures
further develop and monitor the anti-money laundering and counter terrorists financing framework and respective control assessment processes and represent the company in any risk related committees and meetings.
own and draft AML / CTF policies, procedures, including customer due diligence measures, record keeping, risk assessments and management and control system
design and provide training to all staff
maintain good relations with the CSSF and other regulatory authorities
present AML / CTF reports to the SS Compliance Head Office and the SSSL Board
investigate suspicious activities and make appropriate reports to the relevant authorities
Required skills and competencies
Proven experience and working knowledge at a senior level in the Luxembourg Fund Industry
Detailed knowledge of the local regulatory and legal environment with excellent knowledge of the local applicable Anti-
Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing laws and regulations.
Leadership skills; ability to take ownership and initiative, to negotiate, influence and build consensus and successfully navigate within a demanding and international environment of a leading global financial institution.
Proactive and responsive attitude; demonstrates initiative by identifying issues and recommending solutions as well as sound judgment in resolving matters of high complexity
Attention to detail and strong organization skills with the ability to manage client expectations
Ability to prioritize, work under pressure and with attention to detail.
