KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Monitor the regular production of the accounting data in the context of the accounting closing periods (month-end, quarter-end and year-end)

Perform a regular oversight in order to maintain the accuracy and completeness of the accounting production

Coordinate and consolidate the preparation of the management and financial reports (incl. external audits)

Perform the periodic financial statement production

Perform and provide with ad hoc accounting analysis in the context of business project support

Support and maintain up-to-date the accounting module set-up in regards to the current business and the future new activities

Design and improve accounting policies, processes, procedures, controls systems, methodologies and working tools using prior experience from banking industry / audit

KEY BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE

Advanced degree in a relevant field (finance, accounting, or business administration)

At least 8 years’ experience in a financial institution or a major audit / consultancy firm

Thorough knowledge of accounting as well as internal control frameworks

Very strong accounting and financial skills as well as relevant work experience in a financial institution and / or audit-consulting activities

Very strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (IFRS and EU Accounting Directive)

Strong knowledge of internal control environment / system in the Banking industry (Basel, SOX)

Good knowledge of functioning of financial institution

Professional certification from an internationally recognised body such as CPA, ACCA or equivalent would be an advantage

Fluency in written and oral English; any other languages would be an asset

Contract duration : 3-year fixedterm contract, with possibility of extension
