Amazon is looking for a smart, team-oriented, highly analytical leader to join the Pan EU Sourcing Vendor Management team as Senior Vendor Manager based in Luxembourg focused on acquiring selection for Eastern European customers who shop on Amazon's EU stores.

By analyzing customer data, as well as competitors and the market segment in general, you will identify sourcing and selection opportunities.

To fulfill this demand you will build long term relationships with Eastern European vendors on behalf of our customers. You will work closely with the in-

stock and vendor management teams for our local EU websites.

The position is based in Amazon’s EU Headquarters in the city of Luxembourg.

Responsibilities

  • Increase selection from new and existing Eastern European vendors.
  • Establish & manage long term relationships with vendors by driving negotiation and re-negotiation of their terms.
  • Cooperate with Amazon EU’s local business teams to drive campaigns and projects.
  • Liaise with the inventory team to assist in decision making processes for managing stock and inventory.
  • Build internal and external metric reports to monitor new selection - Turn in-depth analysis into strategic insight and action.
  • Be an ambassador within the industry and consistently enhance Amazon EU’s position.
  • Support the execution of technical integration with new vendors and support projects to more efficiently source stock and set up new items.
  • Seek out ways to automate & simplify manual processes in order to improve productivity.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and overall relationship management.
  • Ability to operate clearly in an ambiguous environment; strong ability to influence.
  • Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, and exceptional organizational skills are essential.
  • Tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment is essential for success.
  • Ability to think strategically and tactically, with attention to detail.
  • Candidate must have strong communication skills and be fluent in English
  • Fluent in Eastern European language (strong perference)
  • Experience in Retail / FMCG industry is a plus
  • Master’s (ideally MBA) degree preferred
