The University of Luxembourg invites applications for the following vacancy in its Luxembourg Centre for Educational Testing (LUCET) at the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences (FHSE) :
QA Software Tester - Research support technician (20 hours / week)

Fixed-term contract of 24 months (20 hrs / week)
Foreseen starting date : October 2020
The QA software tester will help to enhance the quality of an existing online, web-based course evaluation tool and survey platform, including a platform for distributing the final reports.
N.N. will ensure that the design, functionality and performance meets the standards of the LUCET. The ideal candidate has a good sense of what it takes to test software applications in a fast moving technical environment, proactively identifying areas for improvement and communicating effectively with the team on progress and changes.
Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans & test cases
Perform functional tests using test cases as well as ad-hoc tests
Use blackbox testing to test applications
Write error reports (bugs, feature requests) which are sent to the development team for rectification or implementation
Perform regression testing based on test plans when features are implemented or bugs are resolved
Create test protocols and reports
Design, develop and execute automation testing scripts
Collaborate with the developers to ensure reliable and secure releases
Write and keep up to date test documentation
Qualification in IT
Experience in software QA
ISTQB level and skills in test automation are considered a plus
Very good oral and written competences in English - Luxembourgish, German and French are a plus
Willingness to keep learning
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team on bigger projects
Ability to work autonomously on smaller projects
