DuPont’s Water & Protection (W&P) Business is growing and therefore seeking two Project Team Leaders (PTL) to join our Capital Engineering Team located at the Luxembourg Manufacturing Site.
As Project Team Leader you will be part of the Luxembourg Site Capital Engineering team. In this role you will lead and organize the Project Team for several (typically 2-4) Capital Small Projects in an investment range of 0,5-10MM $, be the primary interface between the Project and the Business Steering Teams and be accountable to the Business for the Project success.
Use Business Objectives Letter (BOL) to develop Project Objectives Letter (POL) and Project Basis
Drive capital project work processes and practices per DuPont Global Project System (GPS)
Drive and focus on the Front-End-Loading phase of the Capital projects and manage No Change Policy and Change Order procedure (scope / costs / schedule) in FEL phase and after Full Funds Authorization
Lead all Gatekeeping reviews and and insure all project deliverables are met
Manage overall project expenditures (Capital and costs) and schedule to satisfy BOL
Manage 'Management of Change' procedure according to MOC Site procedure (Technology) and in adherence with PSM, EH&S, MIQA, export controls and trade secrets principles and other relevant core value standards, processes and procedures.
Accountable for overall integrated project schedule, total project cost and investment
Monitor overall quality and performance of FSDC for the project (Small projects) through KPI management, address gaps and actively participate in improvement processes for Capital Execution on Site
Collaborate closely with Cost Controller EMEA / Site and Site Capital coordinator (minor projects team)
Bachelor's degree in Engineering with several years of experience or Master degree in Engineering
Fluent in English and in German OR French.
Experience managing 3rd party contractors (Engineering and Field) and suppliers is a plus
Basic understanding of manufacturing technology / processes, plant operations, and maintenance strategies.
Strong leadership skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Willing and able to effectively delegate
Understanding of Business, technology, and manufacturing work processes
Excellent communication skills
Understanding of functions and disciplines required for capital project execution
Overall understanding of project process from FEL-1 through check out and startup.
Understanding of DuPont capital and non-capital funding practices, appropriation (authorizations requests) rules, and project control techniques
Skills desirable but not mandatory are :
Professional experience in Operations (as Process / Manufacturing Technology Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, Maintenance & Reliability Engineer i.e.)
Continuous improvement trained, Lean Six Sigma
Knowledge of DuPont GPS work process, including SAP and EcoSys
Prior experience working as a project PTL
