What is the opportunity?

You will have the opportunity to work in an highly interesting and challenging international tax environment in a large multinational Banking Group Royal Bank of Canada.

You will operate with a high level of autonomy while conducting and implementing your analyses.

You will develop a rich network of relationships within the RBC Taxation Group and with many stakeholders in the Group..

What will you do?

  • Assist the Head of Taxation Luxembourg on a range of projects and strategy initiatives by conducting detailed tax and / or transfer pricing analyses on various transactions and products and ensuring the implementation of needed actions within the enterprise.
  • Collaborate with RBC Tax personnel worldwide to ensure consistent tax positions and governance.
  • Coordinate and manage the corporate tax matters of the subsidiaries and branches mostly in Europe, covering in particular the oversight of their tax compliance in close coordination with local external tax advisors ( Italy, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Ireland).
  • Assist closely Finance on the review of monthly and quarterly consolidated tax calculations and effective tax rates.
  • Review and sign off the corporate tax return of RBC IS Bank SA, as prepared by the department.
  • Review and sign off the transfer pricing documentation prepared by the Group.
  • What do you need to succeed?


  • Legal or economic school background with international tax specialization, including a high level of understanding of transfer pricing and BEPS rules
  • International tax experience of at least 5 years
  • Deep knowledge of the corporate tax law in Luxembourg
  • Perfectly fluent in English
  • Excellent analytical and financial skills (financial markets)
  • Nice-to-have

  • Good understanding of the fund industry and its regulatory environment
  • Any other language is an asset (French, Italian, German, Luxembourgish, etc)
  • IT and / or project management skills
