The Supply Chain Analytics team works with Amazon’s Fulfillment Centers (FCs), Transportation, Customer Service, Retail, and Finance teams.
The team manages customer experience day-to-day and provides solutions to challenging analytical problems, in order to drive critical business decisions and to drive innovation of supply chain technology, while minimizing end-
to-end supply chain cost. It is a highly visible team that is critical to the company's operations management and forward capability.
The fast-paced growth and rapid scaling of our fulfillment network rely on the innovation and operational excellence of this team, which provides solutions for complex operational problems and delivers timely, relevant business reports to key stakeholders, including senior management.
Key strategic objectives of role
The Senior Manager for FBA and Inventory Analytics will :
Drive successful expansion of operations for Amazon’s EU FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) network the fastest-growing segment of third-
party sellers on the Amazon platform
Bring systems and processes for managing inventory health across EU to a new level of performance and efficiency by rigorously applying strong data analysis and technical systems expertise
Lead the evolution of buying systems to fulfill the requirements of the EU supply chain and fulfillment network, acting as key EU contact for US software development teams
Support our rapid growth by building and managing a great team of business intelligence experts and project managers, setting clear objectives, providing strong measurement of delivered results and performance.
Develop and enable the success of each team member, ultimately leading to promotion across the Global Operations Network
Continuously strive for faster, more reliable, and more efficient solutions, successfully driving projects in a constantly evolving environment, working well with teams across Operations, IT, Retail, and Finance and senior leadership
Advanced degree (Master’s) in engineering, math, or science from a leading university
Strong experience with business analytics
Proven capabilities of creative problem solving, using software systems for processing, filtering, and presenting large quantities of data.
Desire to build new processes and solutions. Track record of successfully managing and growing teams of business intelligence analysts and project managers to deliver against aggressive targets
Track record in managing complex cross-functional projects, successfully influencing diverse stakeholders across a large organization
Familiarity with supply chain management concepts, such as forecasting, planning, optimization, logistics
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, with experience synthesizing and communicating results of complex analyses to senior business leaders
Advanced knowledge of Excel, SQL, scripting languages for BI (R, Python)
Familiarity with the design of software systems and experience working effectively with software engineering teams preferred
