The successful candidate is expected to assume a leading role in defining, acquiring, managing, and scientifically contributing to projects in the area of wireless and satellite communication systems.
The candidate will carry a leading role in this area and support PhD candidates in their thesis research. The candidate will work closely with Profs.
Chatzinotas & Ottersten and the members of the SIGCOM group.
The group works across the entire spectrum of blue-sky research and applied research to conceive future communication networks.
Researchers with an interest in mobile and satellite communication systems, will find a large and vibrant team of over 70 members fostering a collaborative atmosphere.
SIGCOM’s state-of-the art facilities include five laboratories : the , the Communications Lab, the Radar Lab, and the 5G Space Communication Lab dedicated environments for researchers to test their results on advanced equipment, in addition to the SATCOM Lab of the Interdisciplinary Space Master.
The group is also the recipient of numerous awards, such as the European Association for Signal Processing (EURASIP) Group Technical Achievement Award, and the IEEE Communications Society Distinguished Contributions to Satellite Communications Award, as well as of 4 European Research Council grants.
