The Role :
The Risk team supports the development of M&G’s activities in Europe and is responsible for investment and operational risk oversight of the M&G European fund platform based in Luxembourg.
This includes two corporate entities, the management company and the distribution firm, and all funds distributed in Europe.
The team is exposed to a wide variety of investment strategies across public markets and private assets including real estate, infrastructure finance, private equity and private credit.
It is also in charge of the investment risk oversight for real estate funds globally within the M&G Group.
The team is fully integrated within the Group Risk function and the Risk Director and Head of Real Estate Risk reports to the M&G Group Chief Risk Officer.
The team works closely with the Investment teams and Senior Management within the Group.
The team is expanding and we are looking for a Risk Analyst to support the team fulfilling its mandate. This is a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to be exposed to both investment and operational risk and to increase her or his exposure to a wide variety of private asset strategies.

Key Responsibilities for this Role :
As part of the Luxembourg Risk team, key responsibilities of the role include :
Supporting the delivery of effective investment and operational risk analysis and reporting for the M&G European Fund platform and the funds under its scope
Supporting the delivery of risk reporting for stakeholders across M&G, including Risk Committees and forums, Management Company board, fund boards and other key stakeholders
Supporting the development and maintenance of the M&G Luxembourg Risk Policies and procedures
Supporting on responses to risk reporting requests from external parties, including the regulators
Continuously seeking to improve the risk analysis and reporting of risk information, responding to requests and feedback from key stakeholders as well as maintaining awareness of industry trends, best practice and regulatory developments
Building constructive and supportive working relationships with the wider investment and operational risk team
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience :
Entry level knowledge of investment and / or operational risk in asset management
Prior experience in risk management applied to private assets such as Real Estate, Infrastructure Finance, Private Equity and Private Credit a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Coding skills in R, Python a plus
