Over 2 million Sellers in 10 countries list their products for sale on the Amazon Marketplace. Sellers are a critical part of Amazon’s ecosystem to deliver on our vision of offering the Earth’s largest selection and lowest prices.

These Sellers offer hundreds of millions of unique products providing a broad and diverse inventory of products from Books, Electronics and Apparel to Consumables and beyond.

In our vision to build a global marketplace, we will enable Sellers to list, make their selection available to customers globally while optimizing their inventory placement across multiple countries.

As Senior Program Manager, you will be responsible for simplifying and supporting the VAT compliance journey for our Sellers.

You will be partner with global business teams (EU, CN, US, IN) and functions (Tax, Legal) to own experiences that enable our Sellers to scale in a sustainable manner.

In this central role, you will have end-to-end ownership of the Global VAT Education Program to drive initiatives all across the year to support Seller growth in a compliant manner.

You will also lead the critical Front Office Program, to manage our teams based in multiple geographies who support Sellers using Amazon’s VAT solution (VAT Services on Amazon).

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the Global VAT Education Program to support Sellers in growing their business by reducing friction related with VAT compliance.
  • This involves developing curated support basis a Seller’s growth journey (pre-launch, post-launch on Amazon, program adoption such as FBA / Pan-European FBA, marketplace expansion).

  • Partner with stakeholders from business, tax and legal teams to translate VAT compliance requirements into a communication roadmap to drive proactive awareness for Sellers.
  • Responsibilities also include media asset development, communication strategy, tracking, attribution and establishing appropriate success metrics.

  • Lead the VAT Front Office Program which is dedicated to supporting Sellers using our internal VAT solution (VAT Services on Amazon) develop SOPs to refine Seller experience and drive adoption, conversion, retention and speed.
  • This includes building operational efficiency and mechanisms to enable scaling of efforts within the Front Office teams.

  • Work closely with central Product and other Program teams within VAT Services on Amazon, to offer a seamless VAT compliance experience for our Sellers.
  • Manage multiple 3P VAT stakeholders to prioritize and balance efforts while ensuring we optimize for maximum business impact.
  • Evangelize EU VAT Compliance internally within Amazon awareness, training for account management teams (EU, US, IN, WW)
  • Participating in cross-functional projects in collaboration with business teams in Europe.
  • Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or relevant field of study
  • 5+ years of project management / program management / consulting experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional and international environment, to lead by influence and earn trust at all levels
  • Strong analytical skills to work with data and make data / metric driven decisions
  • Strong bias for action, highly organized and ability to complete a high volume of tasks and projects with limited guidance and tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA from a leading business school
  • Advanced Knowledge of SQL, Tableau and VBA or willingness to learn
  • Analytical tendencies with a natural curiosity to measure, test, learn and iterate
  • General knowledge of VAT requirements in Europe
