Headof Securities Services Department
As Head of Securities Services Department you are responsible for running and controlling investments operations for allbusiness lines of ING Luxembourg , as well as for certain other entities ofING group.
You are also globally responsible overthe depositary bank activity that INGLuxembourg offers to mutual funds and you are approved as such by the localregulator.
You are a senior manager,reporting to the COO of ING Luxembourg, and you lead the Securities ServicesDepartment with the support of experienced managers and staff.
Securities operations mayvary from straight forward standard and automated processes, to high value andcomplex operations requiring technical expertise and deep analysis.
Securities operations andDepositary Bank activity are highly regulated domains and you will continuouslyensure operations and controls are aligned with local and EU directives, lawsand regulations, as well as ING Group policies.
You will adapt Securitiesprocesses and develop competencies of your teams to follow the permanentevolution of investment products, markets and customer demands.
You will pay particularattention to developing flexibility of the members of the teams in order tobalance strong increase in complex transactions with decrease of workloads insimple tasks.
You lead the teams toward a new way of working culture, empower them tobecome self-steering, share a collective responsibility to improve ING’sperformance and identify opportunities to better serve and delight customers.
You will motivateand inspire teams, so that each and every member of the department contribute to the developmentof investments products and services of ING Luxembourg
The department is composedof approx. 60 FTE and the activities are currently organized in different operationsteams, controls and reporting teams and business development team.
The activities ofinvestments operations are related to trades executions and transfers of financialinstruments, custody activities on securities accounts, corporate actions, taxrelated actions and data management (instrument and clients), on behalf ofRetail and Professional customers.
ING Luxembourg isdeveloping a strategy of independent depositary banking for Luxembourg based INGand third-party mutual funds, within an open architecture model, thus coveringwide range of products (financial instruments and alternative investments) andperforming a controlling oversight over numerous counterparties acting aroundthe funds operations.
Your key responsibilities
Steer the Department with the purpose to deliver
highestquality of service to our Retail and Wholesale customers,
recognizedsupport to business lines to develop their commercial strategies and
safeand controlled operations framework to align with laws, regulations andpolicies
Ensure the teams are adequately staffed,developed and motivated, and assure an excellent employee experience.
Create the necessary environment toachieve best performance with leadership and motivation together with the teamof managers
Facilitate the step-up performance management objectives (job / orangecode / stretch ambition), help and guide the managers and staff in the new way ofworking
Create and maintain a network ofprofessional contacts, within ING Luxembourg, ING Group and amongst peers ofthe Luxembourg Market place

You will alsoneed :
Master degree or equivalent byexperience
At least 10 years of experience in a similaroperational domain and
10 years’ professional experience atmanagement level, experience / affinity with banking in general and a ClientServices environment is a plus
French and English, any other languageis a plus
Proven experience in strategic projectswith high impact and cultural change, and in building / executing strategicroadmaps.
Proven track record in large scale transformation projectsExpertise in driving and steering multidisciplinary teams. Experience in E2E customer experience design and improvement.
Experience with P / L responsibility of an operations departmentStrong Communication and motivation skills
