Robert Half Finance & Accounting is looking for a Finance Manager (M / F) in order to work in a company active in the finance sector situated in Luxembourg.
Our client is a leading global investment firm (NYSE) that manages multiple alternative asset classes, including private equity, energy, infrastructure, real estate and credit, with strategic manager partnerships that manage hedge funds.

Working as part of the Luxembourg team, the individual will provide support to a number of the firm's holding companies.
The individual will report into the Vice President Luxembourg.
The focus of the role is taking ownership of the compliance of Luxembourg holding companies and taking a leading role in deal execution.
This will involve working with external advisers, the London Finance team, investment professionals and the management and finance teams at the firm's portfolio companies.
The role will require someone to confidently navigate Luxembourg's domestic corporate law, accounting and tax regulations.
It is also critical that they can influence a diverse network of stakeholders to ensure Luxembourg's internal procedures and policies are adhered to Luxembourg holding company compliance : Understand the governance requirement of the firm's Luxembourg holding companies from a legal and tax perspective and ensure they are compliant.
This will involve ensuring : the ongoing board composition complies with the firm's house view Regular board meetings and shareholder meetings are organised and physically attended in Luxembourg Board meetings are documented appropriately i.e.
detailed minutes are drafted, executed, and filed at the registered offices, and all documentary approval remains compliant (including notices, agendas, papers, minutes, proxies and signatures) Keep abreast of regulatory developments in Luxembourg and work with the firm's Finance / Tax team and advisers to assess and mitigate the impact for the Group Manage timely submission of compliance filings (including direct tax returns, VAT returns, CbCR, Central Bank reporting etc.
with the local administrations and authorities Proactively anticipate the processes required to ensure the Group Luxembourg's holding companies remain compliant in Luxembourg (i.
e commission transfer pricing studies where required, consult on specific technical issues, organise timely audit planning, work with portfolio finance teams to discuss accounting consolidation procedures) A first relevant experience as a Finance Manager (within an investment company) or Manager within a domiciliation company (dealing with accounting, finance, tax, administrative and compliance aspects) Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory framework in Luxembourg Prior experience in dealing with 'substance' and 'beneficial ownership' queries from foreign tax authorities Excellent command of and fluency in the English language, fluent French or German, Luxembourgish an advantage Good understanding of high level technical tax, financial and legal matters Ability to deal with complexity and excellent problem solving skills Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Strong organization and time management skills Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on high quality output This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team while getting clear career prospects within a global and international company.
