Task Responsibilities : The position holder’s primary responsibility is to carry out safety investigations related to flight operations with the primary aim to identify causes and issues, issue recommendations to prevent a re-
occurrence / reduce the risk to the operation and support the creation of data for safety trends and statistics. Additionally the position holder will be required to : Conduct supporting activities in monitoring of corrective actions and safety trends in relation to their area of expertise Support / assist in the production of safety-
related information and provide periodic reports on the organisation’s safety performance Support / assist in monitoring safety concerns in the aviation industry and their possible impact on the operation Maintain familiarity with all aspects of Cargolux's activities Promote the Cargolux Just Culture process Carry out safety audits and inspections when required Contribute to the creation and continual development of documented processes and procedures of the Aviation Safety Department Conduct Safety Training to other Cargolux personnel The position holder may be assigned other related duties within the Aviation Safety Department.
Essential Requirements For The Position : BSc. in a relevant aviation discipline Accident / Incident Investigator qualification is highly desirable Knowledge of modern safety management principles and practices, including Systems Thinking and Safety-
II Knowledge of aviation principles, aerodynamics and modern flight decks Experience as airline pilot, Boeing and Cargo / Long-
haul operation is an advantage Display a high standard of written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to work independently and under pressure Ability to relate to all levels, both inside and outside the organisation Inquisitive and a good listener Good interpersonal and communication skills with ability to interact with people at all levels Good analytical skills Ability to maintain impartiality Ability to empathize and knowing your audience Ability to think systemic and understand complex procedures Computer literacy Able to handle confidential matters Training delivery skills Working Conditions : The position is based in Luxembourg Non regular travel may be required Due to specific nature of the position within the company, the position holder may rarely have to work outside the normal working schedule and / or working days
