Job Purpose Statement
Where you’ll fit in & what our team goals are
As the Distribution CO, you will be part of the expanding Luxembourg team, responsible for overseeing the critical relationship between the Luxembourg Management Company, the Europe Branch network, and the UK-based business services.
Reporting to the COO distribution you will also be a part of their leadership group making a broader contribution to the management of Distribution EMEA.
You will attend and report to the relevant Luxembourg based boards as well internal management committees on Distribution oversight.
Role Responsibilities
How you'll spend your time....
Oversight of all Management Company and its’ branches Distribution activities including Distributor Oversight, Marketing, RFP, Client Servicing, covering :
Monitoring compliance and policy adherence
Reporting key performance metrics such as flow and activity information
Reporting risk events to the board
Lead initial and on-going due diligence processes on distributors
Other oversight activities as appropriate
Line management of one staff member to support you in your duties.
Contribute to the overall distribution business as a whole and support marketing, service, and RFP efforts. In particular working with relevant teams to onboard clients contracting with the Lux entity, understanding client requirements are identified and the relevant due diligence is conducted.
Contribute to broader management team in Luxembourg, ensuring the ManCo runs smoothly.
Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with Branches and CO’s; promote good and effective communication and work with the branch managers to ensure alignment of business objectives and adherence to the requirements of the Luxembourg board and regulator
Requires both regulatory and commercial focus and provide practical support to both branch managers and CO’s
In conjunction with the Distribution COO in London, input into, monitor, challenge and oversee the Distribution Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), including ensuring risks are adequately identified in the RCSA and controls are in place to mitigate these.
Collaborate with colleagues in the design and implementation of policies, procedures and processes for distribution and ensure that these are appropriately implemented in Luxembourg in conjunction with the Compliance.
In particular ensure that policies, procedures and processes comply with MiFID II regulations insofar as they are applicable, together with any new applicable regulations
Look for opportunities to drive efficiencies and continuous improvement.
Vendor management of any outsourced relationships used in conducting your duties.
Key Capabilities
To be successful in this role you will have....
Good understanding of the requirements of a Management Company structure and fund boards and how the Boards / Management Committees work and report to support this
Requires regulatory and commercial focus to provide practical support to both branch managers and CO’s
Strong communication skills, people leadership capabilities and stakeholder / relationship management
Experience within the Asset Management industry particularly in distribution, working senior distribution leaders.
Ability to be client facing and engage in marketing and service activities.
Exposure to the Luxembourg and / or other European regulators, preferably including direct engagement
Risk management skills
Demonstrable ability to coordinate, facilitate and balance stakeholders and priorities in a complex matrix environment
Demonstrable ability to deliver outcomes and resolve issues
