PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To be responsible for a portfolio of clients and work as part of a team to achieve and meet their needs and you will :
Review financial statements and periodical reportings under LuxGAAP’s;
Review tax and VAT returns;
Maintain contact with banks, Luxembourg authorities, and external providers;
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements;
Assist with the setting up and administration of holding companies;
Review legal documents (minutes of shareholders meetings and board meetings);
Follow-up the day-to-day operations and client requests;
Coach and plan the junior / senior accountants and the corporate officers.
Properly complete your time sheet;
Monitor the clients’ budget and analyse the overrun if any;
Be proactive in cash collection.
Know who are your clients’ contacts and understand their activities;
Communicate adequately with the clients (professionalism) and be considered as the primary contact person by the clients;
Ensure an effective coordination / management of your clients;
Meet client deadlines.
Be autonomous in the management of recurring and non-recurring projects;
Be able to clarify unusual situations and anticipate inherent risks;
Be an expert in your technical fields (including giving training courses) and have a global understanding of all fields (be a generalist);
Ensure an appropriate workload balance between staff;
Understand the services proposed by Ocorian;
Be compliant with internal procedures and best practices;
Apply internal risk management procedures (i.e. KYC / AML) and ensure that accountants / corporate officers apply them;
Adhere to a confidentiality culture;
Fluency in English (written and orally), with any other language (French, German, Spanish) being considered as an advantage;
Proactively handle internal requests;
Give regular feedback on the file progression to the senior managers / directors;
Perform legal watch to remain up to date with laws governing recurring and non-recurring activities and propose proactive measures;
Share information within the team and suggest solutions to problems;
Give regular feedback up and down;
Take part in the development, implementation and improvement of procedures.
