The Supply Chain Optimisation (SCOT) team owns Amazon’s global inventory management systems. We build the systems that decide what, when, where, and how much we should buy to meet Amazon’s business goals and to make our customers happy.
We do this for millions of items worth billions of dollars world-wide. Our systems are built entirely in-house, and are on the cutting edge in automated large-
scale business, inventory and supply chain planning and optimization systems. We are on the forefront of supply chain thought leadership and work with some of the best research scientists and software developers in the industry.
We are seeking a passionate, results-oriented Senior Product Manager who thrives on solving complex problems to implement automated inventory management systems and processes for EU Hardlines.
You will work in a team that determines whether our forecasting and buying systems are taking optimal decisions for the business.
You will challenge assumptions and look for outliers to identify defects, and work with the SCOT teams to get these resolved.
You will also be responsible for generating inventory related insights (using ever-more-automated tools that you will help to develop), reporting these to the highest levels of Retail and SCOT leadership, and driving Retail adoption of the new processes.
The position, which sits in the Amazon Luxembourg office, is a highly visible role that requires interaction and critical partnership with senior leaders of Amazon Retail, SCOT, Finance, and Operations teams.
Successful candidates will be strong leaders who can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of delivery.
