We are looking for the Operations Team Lead to join our Integrated Logistics team in Contern, Luxembourg.
Your Role
The Operations Team Lead supervises and coordinates a team of Operations and / or Freight Settlement Specialists within a respective customer pool of Logistics Control Centre.
She / He is the expert in operational processes and drives a team in order to provide first-class services according to customer expectations, and in line with a contractual agreement with the Customer.
The Operations Supervisor ensures that the team follows the procedures for the activities and services in scope, and is adhering to agreed Key Performance Indicators, Service Level Agreements, and Quality Standards to maximize Customer Satisfaction.
Your Responsibilities
Develop and support a team in order to assure committed quality of operations services (transport coordination and / or freight settlement)
Monitor the service level agreements (SLA), liaising with internal and external parties involved to identify areas for improvement and propose recommendations for service improvement and implement improvements to the satisfaction of our customers (process optimization)
Escalation point for external and internal business related topics / contacts. Report escalations in time to the management when applicable
Collaborate with the department Quality Representative and play key role in Quality Review Meetings, including preparation (internal / external).
Support internal / external audits, when required.
Actively communicate with team members on group and individual level with aim to build positive team atmosphere, motivation and results (e.
g. team meetings, 1-2-1 discussions)
Assure that team executes tasks with expected level of productivity & performance and evaluate employees’ performance and growth together with Operations Manager and trigger actions for improvement and development if needed
Contribute to, as well as drive continuous improvement initiatives of the current team and LCC overall
Regular alignment with Operations Management on proper KPI / productivity reporting and other reports applicable
Your Skills and Experiences
College / university degree or minimum 2 years of equivalent working experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong knowledge of road, air and sea transportation
Excellent understanding of customer set-up / structure & requirements
Excellent understanding of the Integrated Logistics as business unit
Very good communication and leadership skills
Strong customer centric mindset
Ability to delegate and coordinate team workload
Communicate competently in both, spoken and written English (mandatory). Fluency in other languages is a plus
