About the Role :
For our Group Quality function in our Ferrero Headquarter in Luxembourg , we are looking we are looking for an experienced Quality Manager who will be the head of our Group Quality Hazelnut’s team who will report professionally to Group Quality’s Head and managerially to Hazelnut Company’s (HCo) General Manager.
The position is also part of the Group Quality Leadership team.
A great quality manager :
Is thorough and observant with an eye for detail;
Ensures products compliance compared to Quality standards;
Ensures Quality Methods and Guidelines are correctly applied at local level;
Coordinates professionally and manages the professional development of all team members while ensures personnel is adequate considering roles characteristics and needs (number and skills);
Deals with critical incident, involving where needed all relevant stakeholders.
Interfaces with Hco managers for all Quality matters;
Fully understands the requirements for the product (hazelnuts) and has a sense of responsibility towards our potential and existing providers, internal customers and clients.
The main responsibility includes the design of Hazelnuts’ Quality System at Group Level and across the whole Value Chain from Agri-business to Ferrero Plants and B2B, in terms of :
Definition of specifications and methodologies;
Verification of their application through Audit;
Monitoring via KPI or reporting;
Definition of quality improvement plans and share them with Business Functions.

Main Responsibilities :
Main Tasks : SPECIFICATIONS :
Ensures the drafting and issuance of hazelnuts specification across the Value Chain, from Agri, to transformation and B2B;
SUPPLIERS SELECTION :
Ensures the research, selection and qualification of suppliers on the market, through targeted preventive inspections and through the preliminary evaluation of laboratory samples (test) and, in the following phase, of industrial samples;
Identifies and verifies production and qualitative capacities of alternative suppliers;
Verifies specifications acceptance by the supplier;
Approves suppliers for their inclusion in the vendor list;
TRANSFORMATION & DISTRIBUTION :
Defines rules / methodologies for controls within HCo’s 6 transformation Plants;
Defines sample control plan on hazelnuts;
Manages non conformities;
Carries out audit to verify implementation of methodologies and improve quality culture;
Ensures the monitoring of suppliers through the supplies qualitative assessment and, in case of weak signals or critical issues emerging, through on-site audits and improvement plans sharing;
Reports appropriate requests for action plans to HCo and other stakeholders, following the detection of any anomalies during the audits;
Ensures the acceptance control of storage conditions and of handling and use processes of hazelnut, in order to comply with the established standards needed for the conservation of the finished product qualitative characteristics;
Ensures the return / dispute activities versus suppliers, on the basis of sampling plans;
KPIs AND REPORTING :
Ensures consolidation and making available all the reports and the related analysis on Hazelnut quality;
Aligns the common goals of all Hazelnut Quality Functions :
Definition of quality and legal requirements for B2B market.
Who we are looking for :
Academic background in : Food Science, Food Engineering, Biology, Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Food and Natural Resources, Food safety or any other related fields.
At least 15 years of supervisory or managerial experience as a Food / Raw Material Quality Manager (both in an industrial and commercial level);
Experience in Audit and Certification Systems, Food safety, Quality management both in plant and commercial, critical non conformity management;
Experience and / or knowledge of all applicable food industry related quality systems experience in hazelnuts will be preferred;
International mindset with work experience in quality / production;
Experience within multilingual and multicultural work environments of matrix organizational structures;
