To help us achieve this mission, the Kindle & Books team in Europe is looking for a marketing leader to drive best in-class title marketing that connects readers with stories from authors they love.

The successful candidate will be a seasoned marketer and a proven people manager, capable of building a strong team that delights readers and authors.

They will be detail-oriented and organised, capable of handling multiple projects at once, and comfortable dealing with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities, while operating at scale across teams, functions, and geographies.

Key job responsibilities

  • creating marketing plans / campaigns for printed and digital books
  • coming up with new and exciting channels for our customers
  • deeping dive into our amazon publishing (apub) business and create the best value out of it
  • executing all of them in the best way
  • A day in the life

  • Develop and communicate marketing strategy and operational plans for title marketing, apub for EU
  • Coordinate multinational and cross functional teams to execute marketing campaigns
  • Own business reviews for title marketing in Europe (weekly and monthly reviews, annual planning)
  • Enjoy reading, have fun, and make history

  • Experience in marketing
  • Experience in online marketing, site management / merchandising, or product management
  • Experience partnering across a global organization and influencing across multiple teams
  • Able to work in a diverse team

  • MBA / advanced studies with reputable institution
  • Savvy interpersonal skills; ability to work successfully with teams across the organization, including (Marketing, Product, Engineering, Design, Legal, Public Relations and Senior Leadership)
  • Adept communicator both verbally and in writing
  • Marketing experience with reputable consumer brand and / or experience in demand generation roles
  • Fluency in one or more European languages (German, French, Italian, Spanish)
