You’ll be at the heart of Amazon’s EU Operations team, driving high-impact, business critical projects to drive supply chain and transportation systems ever closer to perfection.

You will drive strategic initiatives to optimize one of the largest and most complex delivery networks in the world with more than 2000 warehouses, dozens of carriers, and numerous delivery stations.

You’ll coordinate alignment with corporate objectives. Working with diverse teams and senior leadership you'll make sure that among the many projects that could be undertaken, we will focus on those ones that will deliver the highest possible impact to our customers.

You will develop into one of the foremost experts in Amazon’s supply chain and transportation systems. Our mission is to find & deliver "break the glass" initiatives that drive incredible improvements in the Cost, Speed, and Accuracy of our customer deliveries.

Our work touches every corner of Amazon's business. On a given day, you may find us brainstorming ideas with Tokyo Ops, structuring an analysis with London Finance, developing a product vision with Seattle Tech, and pitching an initiative to Luxembourg executive leadership.

You’ll have ownership of a strategic project in the Global Delivery Services organization within Operations. You’ll be working with multiple stakeholders that span multiple geographies (US / EU / IN), impacting multiple processes in operations, to solve critically important business problems that have leadership-level visibility.

To deliver work at the scale of Amazon, you need to be comfortable diving into new spaces and building cross-functional relationships with people at all levels.

Your clear, compelling, structured communication will influence stakeholders to achieve a common vision that you define.

Your thought-leadership grounded in your analysis, logic, and understanding of business fundamentals will help executives make tough tradeoffs.

Your persistence and attention to detail will keep strategic initiatives on track, milestone after milestone.

Responsibilities

Project management responsibility in a global initiative that directly impacts key business objectives

Coordination of multiple teams in achieving daily / weekly goals

Definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

Measure project performance using appropriate tools and methodology

Develop re-usable tools / methodologies to address project management needs (spreadsheets, diagrams, process maps, KPI monitoring dashboards, standard input templates)

Build compelling analyses and narratives to explain your vision to executive sponsors, outlining key investment and result areas to support Go / No Go decisions

Persuade and lead cross-functional, global stakeholders to help you deliver your pilots

Ensure transparent and consistent reporting of status, progress, impact, and risks for executive sponsors and collaborators, until your ideas are live and handed over

Entrepreneurial mindset

Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Logistics, Supply Chain, Economics, Business, or similar

4+ years of significant work experience in a fast-paced startup-like environment, ideally in project management, technology, consulting, logistics, or manufacturing

Ability to develop creative and scalable solutions independently, and drive them from ideation to successful completion;

results oriented; "self starter"

Ability to influence others and help drive clear decisions without being political

Strong analytical skills (ability to drive own analyses and to quickly interpret others’ analyses)

Strong oral and written communication skills - able to communicate effectively with senior management, tech teams and international stakeholders

High ability to deal with ambiguity, to effectively prioritize, to multitask and to work with tight deadlines in fast-paced environment

Experience in identifying root causes of problems and necessary actions to eliminate them

Business fluency in English

Experience with SQL, or strong interest in learning

Proven Program Management experience in a related industry
