Job Description

You will be based in Belgium as long as COVID19 measures does not allow VIE to be based in China.

Shanghai / Zhenjiang as soon as COVID19 allows. Will require constant interactions with European based teams in Belgium & other production sites.

WARNING : To be eligible, the applicant must have at least two years of professional experience in this field.

Context :

You will be in charge of project management in the field of production and product quality in China for automotive compounds.

Your activities will be the following :

Participate to industrialization of new finished products and new raw materials :

Organize test-runs, in collaboration with R&D & supply-Chain;

Plan, follow-up & report these test-runs with plant support;

Set-up control limits of new products, based on statistical analysis, after discussion with plant;

Develop and improve a scale-up model between the pilot line and industrial lines.

Take part in the quality management process for finished goods :

Establish product references, guaranteeing control compliance;

Define product specifications with the support of Technical Service & Product Development team;

Organize and control product quality in line with production specifications and in cooperation with local production & quality managers;

Investigate customer / raw material claims in production.

Be involved in the set-up of improvement plans (product / quality / process)

Context and environment

The selected candidate will receive a VIE allowance according to the Business France rates.

Candidate profile

Desired qualifications :

Master’s degree from an engineering school in material / mechanics / Polymer science.

Technical skills :

Knowledge and experience in polymer behaviour, extrusion and injection.

Knowledge in statistical analysis (Six Sigma) would be a plus.

Computing skills :

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Languages :

English : level C1 minimum

French : level C1 minimum

Knowledge of Chinese language would be a plus
