The Amazon Cross Border Exports team is looking for a strong candidate for the role of a Program Manager- B2C Exports for exciting cross border initiatives.
The successful candidate will support growth goals for multiple Global stores - identify and manage new initiatives to improve delivery experience collaborating with Amazon Exports team, internal partners and external (carriers).
The candidate will have a knack for data and will be able to gather large amounts of information to determine current state as well as determine impact to the business of technological changes
The successful candidate will be customer obsessed and work closely with both internal and external stakeholder to identify global customers' needs, program manage new initiatives, support global customer product and capability development and deployment.
This will define / refine daily operational processes that are scalable and cost-effective to support an aggressive new cross-
border B2C supply chain out of EU. Amazon is a data-driven company. The candidate will have a knack for data and will be able to gather large amounts of information to determine current state as well as determine impact to the business of technological change
Key responsibilities / initiatives for 2018 include
Standardize and develop logistics capabilities and operational processes (both external and internal to Amazon) for EU Cross-border initiatives
Work with various internal stakeholders who will manage and operate products to document their requirements and work with the technology organization for implementation including Sourcing, Customer Service, Transportation Operations, Finance, Accounting, as well as others
Conduct competitive analysis / benchmarking and operations deep dives linked to the role’s objectives and support growth of cross-border exports
Contribute to strategic yearly planning processes
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in supply chain, import / export management, trade compliance, or similar field
7+ years in supply chain, logistics, transportation or applicable experience. Familiar with B2C exports domain including line haul, global cross-border and last mile.
Strong Program / Project management skills (Product management experience is a plus)
Proven analytical thinking, ability to convert strategy to product and operational capabilities, continuous improvement capability, sensitivity to details, and exceptional organizational skills.
Excellent business writing and communication skills to peers and senior leadership teams.
SQL, Data Analysis and Excel savvy.
Organized, detail-oriented, self-starter and a quick learner.
Excellent people skills to guarantee cross functional alignments and process implementations.
Comfortable with ambiguities, conflicting priorities and multi-cultural and matrix environment and to work under pressure and aggressive timelines.
Master's degree (Supply Chain Management, Logistics & Distribution, Industrial Engineering, Transportation, Business, Computer Science, Mathematics / Statistics)
Familiarity with international parcel logistic and customs clearance processes
Advanced Excel proficiency
